lil’ darlin’

An older client of mine came into the office today. After we finished talking business, he began telling me a story about when he volunteered to go into the army and how he thought he was going to be gone a year. He said he had to tell his girlfriend he’d see her in a year.
Then he said, ” that was a song at that time…”i’ll see you in a year, lil’ darlin'”

Maybe you had to be there, but it was so damn cute how he said this…
Brought a smile to my face on what has been a dreary kind of day…
